(From a Sunday, June 8, 1958 Associated Press News Release.) Adventuress Jane Dolinger questioned this Galapagos Islands fisherman about the mysterious disappearance in 1935 of Baroness Eloise de Wagner Wehrborn and her lover, Robert Phillipson. He told Jane: “This woman (the baroness) drank the devil's brew and seduced all men who came under her spell. I know. I was one of them.” He said he does not believe the baroness and Phillipson fled their island “paradise” but that they were murdered and their bodies thrown into the sea. Shortly after their disappearance, the bodies of a former lover of the baroness and of a fisherman were discovered. It was never determined how they died.
